Lanes blocked, two injured after head-on crash near Cheyenne Drive
REDDING, Calif. (April 29, 2022) – Early Monday evening, two victims were hospitalized after an oncoming collision on Highway 299.
Officers responded around 6:30 p.m. near Cheyenne Drive. According to reports, the driver of a white Toyota Tacoma drove through oncoming traffic for unknown reasons.
As a result, the Toyota collided head-on with a new model black Chevrolet Camaro.
Medical personnel transported the two occupants of the Toyota to a local hospital for further treatment. However, authorities have yet to release their names or whereabouts.
In addition, the driver of the Camaro suffered minor injuries.
Both lanes were blocked off before being reopened later after the road was cleared.
