Actress Tiffany Haddish charged with impaired driving in Georgia

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. (AP) — Tiffany Haddish was arrested Friday and charged with driving under the influence, authorities said.

The actor and comedian was arrested after Peachtree City police received a call around 2:30 a.m. about a driver asleep at the wheel on a freeway, Deputy Chief of Police Matt Myers said in a news release. An officer saw a vehicle matching the caller’s description and stopped Haddish as she parked in the yard of a residence, Myers said.

Haddish then posted $1,666 bond and was released from Fayette County Jail, Myers said. He gave no information on a possible hearing date.

A spokesperson for Haddish did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment.

Haddish starred in the hit comedy ‘Girls Trip’ and starred in such films as ‘The Kitchen’, ‘Night School’ and ‘Like A Boss’. She also wrote the New York Times bestseller, “The Last Black Unicorn” and hosted the popular TV show “Kids Say The Darndest Things.”

Peachtree City is located about 63 kilometers south of Atlanta.
