Ambulance surge is happening on a ‘regular basis’ in rural Victoria

Dr Dan Wilson of the Rural Doctors Association of Victoria says GPs in rural Victoria are experiencing a surge in ambulances ‘on a regular basis’.

“This means patients are not getting the high level of care they deserve and can sometimes lead to delays in receiving appropriate care,” Dr Wilson told Sky News Australia.

Dr Wilson said they were also facing shortages of other healthcare professionals, including ‘colleague nurses’ and ‘colleague paramedics’.
