British Columbia officials to give first live COVID-19 update of 2022

British Columbia’s senior health officials are expected to provide an update on COVID-19 on Tuesday afternoon, the first live update of 2022.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry will speak with Health Minister Adrian Dix at 1:30 p.m.

The province is seeing a huge spike in COVID-19 cases as the Omicron variant becomes dominant, similar to what is happening in the rest of the country.

The latest live update came last week when it was announced that British Columbia was reducing its self-isolation requirement for fully vaccinated people and also speeding up COVID-19 booster eligibility.

The press conference will be broadcast live here.
