An argument between two Brooklyn roommates ended in the death of an elderly man and a much younger roommate charged with the murder, police said Sunday.
Police responded to a call about an assault at an apartment on E. 21 Street near Ditmas Avenue in Flatbush at around 11:55 p.m. Friday, finding Freddy Quevedo, 73, stabbed multiple times in the back and Paola Jimenez, 29, with slash wounds, cops say.
Quevedo was rushed to Kings County Hospital, but he could not be saved.
Jimenez, who police say was initially uncooperative with the investigation, was taken to the same hospital for a laceration to her right hand.
On Sunday, police arrested Jimenez for Quevedo’s murder, charging him with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
His arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending Sunday night.
