Business investment in Australia ‘the worst it’s been’ since early 1990s

Shadow Assistant Treasurer Andrew Leigh says business investment in Australia is currently “the worst its been” since the early 1990s.

Dr Leigh’s comments follow Labor’s pledge to address multinational tax avoidance.

“We need to attract foreign capital because Australia is a great place to do business,” he told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.

“But we’re not going to be attracting foreign capital by becoming next Cayman Islands or Bahamas.”
