Chelsea vs Chesterfield team news

Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Cesar Azpilicueta and Kai Havertz are available, while Andreas Christensen is expected to be back from injury, although Thiago Silva and N’Golo Kante remain out with Covid and Ben Chilwell and Reece James are still on the sidelines .

The German has said he will rotate his first team, but still field a solid XI.

“We have to find the balance because we also want to be reliable, to be fair to the guys who play after the injuries and Covid. I think we have five substitutions that give us a lot of options, which is good,” said Tuchel Friday.

“Of course we want to use the game to give a few minutes to the guys who desperately need it and want it. Like Timo (Werner) for example. But there is yet another training session, there is still one or two Covid tests Hopefully the situation remains as it is now.

‚ÄúThen we’ll find a solid roster and show all respect to the Chesterfield team and club. It’s the FA Cup and if we want to move on to the next round we have to win this game. Nothing else.’
