Monash University politics professor Dr Zareh Ghazarian said the Coalition had a lot of “ground to reclaim” in Victoria ahead of the upcoming state elections.
Mr Ghazaria said Labor was in a strong position in Victoria – winning 55 of 80 seats in the last state election.
“The Coalition has a lot of catching up to do,” he told Sky News Australia.
“The Coalition needs to have a huge turnaround in Victoria.”
