Friday parking is always free and there is no Salik charge for Al Maktoum on Sunday

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority confirmed to “Emirates Today” that there was no change in the free parking rate on Friday, while the traffic charge at the Salik Gate on the Maktoum Bridge has become free Sunday.

The authority explained that the modification of the parking fees is linked to the publication of a legislative decision on the payment of the fees to cross the Salik gate on the bridge with his working hours, which were decided yesterday to change according to new weekend dates, so the bridge will be closed on Sunday instead of Friday.

Transit System (Salik) is defined as an electronic system that operates automatically, allowing driving without stopping at any barriers, toll stations, or highway barriers in Dubai for the purpose of paying the fare. system currently consists of eight barriers. , including Garhoud Gate, Al Maktoum Gate, Al Safa Gate, Airport Tunnel Gate, Al Barsha Gate, Jebel Ali Gate, Al Mamzar North Gate, and Al Mamzar South Gate.
