Intruder stabbed in stomach in burglary at Elizabeth Vale’s home in Adelaide

A man has been taken to hospital in serious condition after stabbing Elizabeth Vale in North Adelaide.

Emergency services were called to Rue Pasteur around 1.45pm after reporting that a man had broken into a house.

Police said the intruder was confronted by the occupier who stabbed him in the stomach.

A witness said the occupier dragged the injured man down the street to take him to nearby Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment.

Shortly after, the man was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by ambulance in serious condition.

The police said the occupier was assisting the police in their investigations.

They are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call Crime Stoppers.
