The Arab coalition said on Saturday that the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in Yemen had deliberately targeted civilian communications infrastructure in southern Saudi Arabia on Friday evening.

According to an Al Arabiya / AlHadath correspondent, the Houthi militia attempted for the third time to target civilian communications with drones loaded with explosives.

The Houthis’ attempts coincide with Arab coalition strikes that have inflicted huge losses on militias in Marib, central Yemen, and Shabwa in recent days.

The coalition said its forces carried out several strikes that destroyed six drone storage and launch sites in Hajja at dawn on Saturday in response to the Houthi attacks.
