Priscilla Presley Reacts to Austin Butler’s Performance in Elvis Film

“What a character he was,” she noted. “There were two sides to the Colonel; Jerry and I witnessed both.”

While the film could be called ElvisPriscilla shared that at its heart it tells the story of “Elvis and Colonel Parker’s relationship”, which began in 1955 when he first discovered the singer and became his manager.

“The story, as we all know, doesn’t have a happy ending,” she explained. “But I think you’ll understand a little more about Elvis’ journey, written by a director who put his heart and soul and many hours into this film.”

His praise did not stop there. She added, “It’s a true story brilliantly and creatively told that only Baz, in his unique artistic way, could have delivered.”

We’ll just have to see for ourselves when Elvis hits theaters on June 24.
