Queensland to lift latest COVID restrictions

The Queensland Government has announced the removal of its remaining COVID restrictions after advice from the state’s health official.

From 1 a.m. Thursday, visitors to aged care facilities, disabled accommodation and correctional facilities will not need to be vaccinated.

Vaccination mandates will also be revoked for staff at schools, daycares, airports and youth detention centers.

Compulsory vaccination will still be required for healthcare personnel working in hospitals, elderly care facilities and people with disabilities.
