RUNNERS are invited to support a York hospice when they compete in major races in the city later this year.
St Leonard’s Hospice invites locals to be a part of St Leonard’s and join them for either the York 10k in August or the Yorkshire Marathon and Yorkshire 10k in October.
Managing Director Emma Johnson said support for the events was of vital importance to Tadcaster Road Hospice, Dringhouses.
“This allows the hospice to continue providing specialized palliative care and support to local populations with life-threatening illnesses,” she said.
“Every book collected makes a difference, and they’re a lot of fun too!”
