Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India]May 27 (ANI/NewsSee): Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA), an internationally renowned university and research institution renowned for its traditional treatments and science-based yoga practices, has taken over to help Indians to fight chronic diseases through an initiative called Disease Free India – Rog Mukt Bharat.
The mission kicks off with a digital ‘Swastha Shakti Program’ to guide Indians through the right approach to yoga, enabling them to speed up their healing and recovery. It will host wellness activities, holistic offerings and masterclasses as part of this initiative and will run for 90 days.
The ‘Disease-Free India’ initiative was launched by Thaawar Chand Gehlot – Governor of Karnataka during the 24th edition of the INCOFYRA conference.
As part of this broader initiative, the general public will have access to free health checkups and digital consultations for yoga, Ayurveda, naturopathy and meditation, among other holistic fitness solutions hosted and managed by S-VYASA experts. The aim will be to tackle the root causes and cures of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, PCOS, PCOD and ADHD, among others, through yoga, good nutrition and mindfulness, enabling people to lead healthier and disease-free lives.
To publicize and spread the message of the initiative throughout the country, a digital marketing campaign will be launched for paid and organic promotion. This will be further supported by advertising on media platforms and various digital and on-the-ground initiatives.
Several key opinion leaders from the health, business, sports, entertainment, spiritual and other sectors will participate in the initiative through various events and activities during the program.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr HR Nagendra, Chancellor, S-VYASA, Bangalore, India said, “Yoga has been one of the greatest contributors to global health and holistic healing. Yoga can help to treat ailments and promote positive health and hence it is in this direction that we are launching the India Disease Free initiative.We hope that people will come forward to avail and benefit from these offers and to in turn, will live healthier and happier lives.A 4-day event, hosting scientists, clinicians and the medical fraternity who will discuss the link between immunity and integrative medicine.The program will see the participation of speakers and doctors international organizations, including Dr. Chenchen Wang, Director of Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA, Dr. Lorenzo G Cohen, University of Texas, Dr. Deanna Minich, Western States University, Portland, Dr. Darshan Mehta, Medical Director, Massachusetts G eneral Hospital, Boston, USA, Dr Sanjay Raghav, Monash University, Australia and others.
