Stock indices were ‘extremely overvalued’ on standard measures

Australia’s correspondent in Washington, Adam Creighton, said some of the air in stock indexes in the US and UK is “probably not a bad thing”.

“They were hugely overpriced by standard metrics,” Mr Creighton told Sky News host Ross Greenwood.

“The main index in the US is down almost 20%…it’s not quite a naked market, but it’s still a lot more expensive than it was in February 2020.”
