The European regulator could make a decision on the Pfizer Covid-19 pill “in a few weeks”

LONDON (Reuters) – The European Union’s medicines regulator said on Monday it could issue a decision “in a few weeks” on whether or not to approve the use of Pfizer’s Covid-19 pill , Paxlovid, after the US drug maker applied for authorization.
The requested approval is for treatment of mild to moderate Covid-19 in patients aged 12 and over, weighing at least 40 kilograms and at high risk of their disease getting worse, the European Medicines Agency said.
