A partnership doing something good for students at South Hills Elementary School in Fort Worth is also giving teachers a treat.
“I’m making 90 Whoopie pies,” said Carol Shaw, one of the women who prepare and deliver treats each month to teachers at the school.
Shaw and his baker friend Judit Inanchy are members of the Doxology Bible Church which adopted the ISD School of Fort Worth in 2020 and provides weekly mentors through its Hero 2 Hero ministry.
Shaw and Inanchy are among the mentors and decided they wanted to do something for the teachers too. They opted for homemade treats.
Whoopie pies, mini filled chocolate pies, have become a teacher favourite, and the ladies have made them three times this school year.
The delivery of 90 last week was the last delivery of the year.

The final batch of 90 delivered this week is the last for this school year.
