Why did Fez beat Nate?

Euphoria fans are no doubt trying to recover from the breathtaking ending of the first episode of Season 2. Moments before the end of the episode, an angry-looking Fez (played by Angus Cloud) s’ is casually directed at Nate (Jacob Elordi), who had become somewhat of his arch nemesis.

Under the guise of wishing Nate a Happy New Year and talking about their resolutions, Fez threw his glass bottle on Nate’s head and slammed him to the ground, leaving him covered in blood and unconscious so the whole group could. see.

Newcomers to the world of Euphoria and some Euphoriayears (after all it’s been two years since the end of season 1) have wondered the real reason for the violent explosion of Fez against Nate. His attack seemed to come out of nowhere and he didn’t indicate why he wanted to take Nate down. Fortunately, News week has everything you need to know.

Why did Fez beat Nate?

The reason why Fez decided to beat Nate may have something to do with Nate’s behavior in Season 1 of Euphoria.

Fez is Rue’s beloved drug trafficker friend (Zendaya) and the couple have an indestructible bond. In Season 2, Episode 1, Fez even confessed that he would entrust his life to Rue and that the couple have always supported each other.

Back in Season 1, Rue finally realized that the real reason Jules (Hunter Schafer) avoided him was because of Nate’s abusive behavior and his attempts to blackmail Jules.

Rue eventually asks Fez to confront Nate, with Fez approaching him and asking him to stay away from Rue, Jules, and their friends.

Offended, Nate was quick to take revenge and informed the police about the Fez drug operation. As a result, Fez was forced to empty the huge supply of drugs he had in the toilet, falling into heavy debt.

Fez was able to repay the money by stealing a robbery to get the money he needed to pay off Mouse’s (Meeko Gattuso) debt.

The last time Fez saw Nate he threatened to kill him the next time they passed each other and it looks like Fez at the New Years party in season 2 may have kept his word.

Ironically, seconds before Fez attacked him, Nate joked that the last time Fez saw him he threatened to kill him.

The promo trailer for episode 2 of Euphoria reveals a bloodied Nate lying in a hospital bed, suggesting he survived his injuries. However, the impact and repercussions the attack will have on him is unknown at this time.

Euphoria fans shared their reaction online to the twist that many didn’t see coming.

One fan tweeted: “Fez did what needed to be done now, I want to see what Nate looks like in #Euphoria Episode 2.”

A second fan wrote: “Now we must protect Fes at all costs #Euphoria #EuphoriaHBO” and a third fan rang: “LET’S LEAVE A ROUND OF CALLS FOR FES NOW #EuphoriaHBO #Euphoria”

Angus Cloud and Jacob Elordi, who play Fez and Nate respectively, also shared behind-the-scenes snaps of them preparing for the stage and during filming on their Instagram feeds and Instagram live stories.

Cloud posted a video of the couple laughing and repeating the bottle shattering on Elordi’s head, with Elordi commenting below: “Doesn’t taste like sugar.”

Elordi posted a black and white photo of himself covered in blood for the iconic scene on his Instagram.
